The season starts the weekend after Labor Day but it is not too late to register for the Town and Instructional programs. For instructional exact team and time notification will be delayed as there is a shortage of coaching volunteers. If anyone can help out by coaching an instructional team please let the Darrin the Instructional Director know ASAP.

Shockers win 2008 President’s Cup

Congratulations to the Bellingham Shockers the U11 Boys team won a very close battle with Watertown 2-1 in Medfield Saturday. They were down early but right before the end of the half they scored the equalizer. It wasn’t until the end of the game they were able to get the go ahead goal and maintain the lead into injury time. They had a great season this spring going 12-0-1 regular season and President’s Cup.

Breakers advance

The U12 Breakers advance to the Division 1 finals with an exciting game against Natick that was tied 1-1 in regulation and 20 minutes of over time. They eventually won on penalty kicks. Their next game is against Southboro on Thursday night at 6:15 at Medfield’s Wheelock fields. Bellingham has split both games with Southboro during the season losing 3-2 in Southboro and winning 2-1 in Bellingham.

Breakers and Shockers

Congratulations to both the Bellingham U12 Girls Breakers and the U11 Boys Shockers.

The Breakers are starting the post season playoffs to win the Mass Tournament of Champions (MTOC) with a season record 5-4-1 second place in their division 1b bracket (1 of only 8 teams playing D1 U12 soccer) on Tuesday night in Newton.

The Shockers are playing in the President’s Cup Championship in Medfield Saturday at 9 am against the Watertown Penguins. They finished their season with a record of 9-0-1 as well as 2-0 in President’s cup play.
